Du hast deine Diät abgebrochen? ich hoffe, du machst aber jetzt wieder weiter, oder?! GO on!!!
Vielleicht könntest du ja PN`s mit Spingmommy austauschen?! Sie lebt in Florida und könnte dir vielleicht ein paar gute Tipps auf englisch geben.

Gruß Miri

Thanks for the recommendation. But I am ok. I am not a newbie to Atkins, have been doing it successfully since Spring of 2003. It is just I get angry when I reach a stall and I stop the diet, then I gain back some weight and that allows the stall to be broken, otherwise you can stay on a stall for months and I refuse to let this hapen becuase the slaving at the diet and not being able to eat things I would like to and still not losing drives me nuts. So basically I try hard to gain some weight in order to break the stall. Today I have gone back to normal eating and I am drinking decaf coffee which I have not had in 3 years, it acts as a dieuretic and so it will help the water weight from the colonoscopy last week. I know I probably wont lose any fat but at least some water weight will take me back down to 66 then I can cheerfully contine with hope. Today I weighed a horrible 67.7kg:rolleyes: but I am glad because it means the stall has been broken.

By the way I cannot find Creme Fraiche and how many Carbs there are in it. Can someone please help? Sorry for English but I really cannot type all this in German.:(

A period of stall is something that most people go through. It's basically a reaction by your body after losing a large amount of weight fast. I am not sure how many carbs and calories you eat per day but trying to stay under 20 carbs over an extended period of time is self-defeating. Your body will think it is starvation mode and stop releasing fat. And eat a balance between veggies and meat.

In addition almost everybody here encountered certain foods causing problems with weight loss. Coffee, coke, nuts, mascarpone etc can certain people make stall. A lot of people don't have any effect from these things; some do, so it is important to find out about you. .

In my personal opinion getting of the LC diet in order to try to break the stall is not the best way to deal with it. I would recommend posting your daily meal schedule in the “Tagebuch” Section, so we can have a closer look at it.

And sometimes a period of stall requires just a lot of patience- Well, I know it is hard

My diet is well balanced and well spread out and my ratio per day is 5 to 7% carbs, 36 to 40% protein and 68 to 80% fat.

I am on a Stall because of a Colonoscopy or Koloskopie I had on Tuesday this past week. I have only lost up until that time 1.9 kilos for a 6 week period so I honestly do not think that 1.9 kilos is a huge amount of weight to have lost and my body stalled because of that, before the procedure I was still losing couple hundreds gms a night. Most of it was water I think even thou the strips were always a good shade of purple and NO Iam not dehydrated I drink 4 to 5 litres of water a day. The stall occurred because of the CleanPrep which is to flush out the colon before the examination, that in itself puts a huge burden on the body. That is the reason I am stalled.

I eat between 15 to 20 carbs a day today I had exactly 19 with plenty butter, creme fraiche and cheese, Salmon, turkey, eggs, tuna, salad, vege. I do not stall from Cheese or nuts, however, I had not been eating any for a good few weeks. My stall is primarly becuase of the Colonoscopy and the trauma to my body with the procedure, I think anybody's body will react by stalling after undergoing this type of stress.

I have gone back to normal eating today, which entails a decent and well balanced meal plan considering it is Low carb.

With regards to the horrible 67.7k and my 172.2 height. I am a very TINY Small boned woman and 67.7 is HUGE for my tiny bone structure. my weight my whole life was 118lbs 53kg and I looked good. 67.7 is obese on me. 58kg is within a reasonable framework as I am now older than 7 years ago when I last was 53 kilos. Mind you, I am shapely and at 53 I was well porpotioned. 67.7 is just too much for my flimsey and tiny bones and looks horrid on my small bone structure. Remember, we are not all built the same or have the same bonemass or bone structure, so someone at 172 with thick bones may be ideal at 67.7 but somebody like me with frail tiny bones 67.7 is Obese.

Hey Fussy,

you definitely worry too much ;) yeah that coming from the worrying-queen:lol: anyways, everybody stalls....it is impossible to lose weight every single day, and it might not even be a "stall" sometimes your body retains water (especially during "TOM" ;) ) and your weight naturally fluctuates every day. How long has it been since you lost weight ? My weight usually drops then goes up a bit, then I stall and then I drop again, the key is patience, if you don't give up and don't get frustrated you will continue to lose weight. Btw, do you exercise ?

LOL so you are the worryqueen they were telling me about :rotfl: . Girl I have not lost weight for 4.5 weeks. The initial two first weeks of the diet I lost 1.9kg and then after that it fluctuated one day 300g next day gained 500g and so on back and forth but at least I was in ketosis, have not been there since the Friday before the Colonoscopy and now the dog gone thing is white. I calculated 19 carbs today and still white strip but I know I am in a stall. I have been downing decaf coffee and that is helping me urinate more frequently, maybe tomorrow I will see I am back to 66 or maybe 66.5 anything under 67 will show I broke the stall. My big panic is this, I go on holidays on Suday to an all inclusive resort how the heck can I have a good time and be fat before I go:cry:

what I usually do when I stall I either eat only eggs for one day or meat, that usually helps. Do you keep track of your meals in a journal ? Well, if you're going to an all inclusive resort I wouldn't worry too much about dieting anyways right now just re-start when you come back...yeah I know I'm bad influence :) but thats just what I would honestly do....

Yes, I write down everything that goes in my mouth and the gm weight and even water I write down on a daily basis in a physical book.

about the diet and vacation yup, I am thinking the same thing, while I dont eat sweets or cakes etc, I am sure there will be more than 20 carbs of veges and fruits daily and wine and drinks as I hate to pay all that money and be dieting, I am hoping that I wont gain a lot, but even if I do I know my plan when I get back is to swim 5 days a week, jog two times and weights three so surely with that regime I should shed the blob. Its not that you are bad influence you are realistic:rotfl:

yup dieting on an all-inclusive sounds like a waste to me...enjoy your vaca and the food....>:) while u can...but when you come back there are no more excuses!! btw, where do you live and where are you going on vacation are you going on a cruise?

Wow Spingmommy,

you are trying to put Fussy up to cheat on her diet. Don’t lead her into temptation! Shame on you! :bumm:

Of course just kidding!

I agree, Spingmommy is right, all-inclusive vacation and dieting does not harmonize. :whistlin: So grasp the opportunity, have fun, join in a drink :trinken: (or two) and go back to phase I afterwards.

The alternative would be of course, that you substitute me at work, and...... instead I would go for you on vacation. :rotfl::megasmil:

Thanks for that spanking fatcat I needed that..;) but you know I'm the cheating and worrying queen all in one...I cheat and then wonder how come I'm not losing weight....duh...

It makes no sense to stick to any kind of diet while on vacation...especially on an all-inclusive one LOL. I will also go off my diet when I go visit my family in Germany cause I'll get an a**-spanking (or whooping) from them if I don't eat their food:rolleyes:

That reminds me of the wonderful Spagetti-Eis :jump2: I had during my last Germany vacation.
Good that it is not available in the U.S. Better for my diet and me. :engel1:
